"il Messaggero" is a documentary that came to life through generous funding from the National Italian American Foundation, The Italian Sons and Daughters of America, and the famous Hollywood directing duo - the Russo Brothers. It tells the story of one man's idea to bring messages of hope and joy to America as he settles his family in Sharpsburg, PA, a city suburb of Pittsburgh in the 1960s. In doing so, he unknowingly immortalizes a generation of Italians and some 50 years later we see its impact on the next generation living in the U.S.
